DZP is one of only a handful of law firms in Poland having a specialist Data Privacy Team.
Our Data Privacy Team experts have extensive experience gained over the 20 years since personal data protection rules were introduced in Poland in 1997. The team head, Dr Bartosz Marcinkowski, also deals with data protection topics academically and has gained a doctorate in the field.
Our lawyers closely monitor legislation and developing data protection practice in Poland, the European Union and non-EU countries. They have also participated in creating best data protection practices (e.g. codes for the medical, automotive and financial sectors) and taken part in the public debate over personal data protection in Poland.
DZP's Data Privacy Team is one of the first in Poland to offer advice on implementation of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
