Brintons Carpets is acquiring the largest Polish carpet manufacturer

DZP acted for the Carlyle Group, one of the largest global private equity funds, in the purchase by Carlyle-controlled Brintons Carpets Limited of 98% of shares in Fabryka Dywanów Agnella SA.

Agnella, Polish leader in the manufacture of carpets and flooring, was acquired by the British company Brintons Carpets Limited, which has a tradition dating back to 1783 and which is part of the Carlyle Group. The Brintons brand has a prominent position on the European, American and Australian markets. As the outcome of the transaction Agnella became part of a global organisation with a strong outlook for the company’s long-term development.

DZP’s experts supported the client in the share sale transaction and also in co-ordinating the restructuring of Agnella’s investment assets combined with repayment of some of the company’s financial liabilities.
