DZP advises CityBike Global in a tender for launching an urban bicycle hire scheme

DZP has advised CityBike Global S.A. in a contract award procedure for launching, managing and operating the MEVO unmanned urban bicycle hire scheme in the area of the Tri-City conducted by the Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot Metropolitan Area (GGSMA) Association.

On 8 February 2022, representatives of our client signed a contract for the implementation of the project worth over PLN 155 million with the GGSMA Association.

The contract governs the launch and management of the unmanned Metropolitan Bike System operating under the name MEVO in 14 GGSMA municipalities with the option for the area to be expanded to include other municipalities. The contract will be performed by adjusting the existing MEVO infrastructure and launching, managing and comprehensively operating the hire scheme. More than 4,000 bicycles will operate within MEVO, with the vast majority of them being electric bicycles.
