PGE EJ 1 selects contractor for site and environmental tests

The law firm Domański Zakrzewski Palinka played the role of legal adviser to PGE EJ 1 Sp. z o.o., which on 7 February signed a contract with a consortium of WorleyParsons Nuclear Services JSC, WorleyParsons International Inc. and WorleyParsons Group Inc. to conduct site and environmental tests in connection with the construction of the first nuclear power plant in Poland with output of approx. 3,000 MW.

This contract is the first key contract concluded as part of the Polish nuclear project. The tests are being conducted by the contractor to enable a target location to be selected for the first Polish nuclear power plant. These site and environmental tests will be conducted in two locations: Choczewo and Żarnowiec, which PGE Group chose in November 2011.

DZP provided, among other things, legal services involving negotiating with the bidders that took part in a public procurement procedure lasting approx. 2 years. The project was carried out by Paweł Grzejszczak from the Infrastructure and Energy Practice.
