DZP advises Enea Wytwarzanie on the construction of the largest power block in Europe

Domański Zakrzewski Palinka is advising Enea Wytwarzanie S.A. on the construction of the most innovative power block in Europe with gross output of 1,075 MW. The coal-fired block is being built in Świerże Górne near Kozienice and the investment value is PLN 6.4 billion.

DZP's advisory covers assistance to the investor with all legal aspects of the construction process, e.g. civil law, public procurement law and environmental law. The project is being carried out by a team led by Tomasz Darowski and Małgorzata Wężyk, who are Infrastructure and Energy Practice experts.

"This is another success for our Practice, which is dynamically developing its infrastructure project portfolio" said Marcin Krakowiak, Head of DZP's Infrastructure and Energy Practice. "Advising Enea Wytwarzanie has added yet another major energy sector project to our credentials".

The project is of strategic importance for both the Polish energy sector and the Enea Group, as project completion will see a significant rise in the Enea Group's share of the Polish energy production market. The investment contractor is a consortium of the firms Polimex-Mostostal S.A. and Hitachi Power Europe GmbH. Construction completion is planned for QII in 2017.
