Amendments to Reimbursement Act – strategic advisory to INFARMA

DZP provided strategic advisory to the Employers' Union of Innovative Pharmaceutical Companies INFARMA during legislative work on amendments to the Reimbursement Act. The introduction of the Reimbursement Act on 1 January 2012 had an enormous effect on the entire pharmaceutical sector. The new regulations on fixed prices and margins and numerous restrictions on the sale of reimbursed medicines changed the principles on which the sector operates.

Our advisory began at the bill drafting stage and continued through two material amendments that came into effect during 2012. We analysed these amendments in both legal and business terms and proposed amendments that would unify and tighten up the law. We also advised INFARMA members how to prepare for the changes, i.e. so that their operations would comply with the law and be effective from a business perspective.
