DZP supports PLL LOT in obtaining clearance for state aid

DZP's Infrastructure & Energy Practice has advised PLL LOT S.A. on obtaining a European Commission decision approving state aid of PLN 400 million for airlines. The EC deemed that the aid to help businesses in difficult economic situations complied with EU rules.

The EC stated that Poland has given PLL LOT a short-term loan to enable the company to regulate its liabilities and operating activity until a restructuring plan is implemented. The aid was approved conditionally until a stance is taken on the matter of the restructuring plan.
