Corporate duties and liability - old idea, new rules?

The Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (PPCC), Domański Zakrzewski Palinka and Brown-Forman Polska have the pleasure to invite you to the meeting "Corporate duties and liability - old idea, new rules?"

At the beginning of 2019, the draft Act on the Liability of Collective Entities was accepted by the Council of Ministers and directed to the Sejm. What remains is only the acceptance of the Parliament and the President’s signature. New provisions will be binding after 6 months from the publication of the act.

Although the idea of the liability of collective entities is well known in Poland, the new act revolutionizes its rules, as well as a catalogue of penal sanctions. The scope of modifications is so significant, that in fact the legal framework will be entirely changed. During the upcoming event, we will present a summary of liability rules of Management and Supervisory Board members of Polish companies, as well as introduce the participants into the new regulations and give some hints how to prepare companies for new realities.

During the meeting, Maciej Ciszkiewicz, Senior Associate at Corporate and M&A Practice and Rafał Karbowniczek, Senior Associate at Dispute Resolution Practice will make a presentation about the corporate duties and liability.

After the presentation - Brown-Forman Polska - one of the biggest distributors of premium spirits - would like to introduce you to Scotch Whisky world.

The meeting will take place on the 21 February 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at DZP office, Rondo ONZ 1, Warsaw.
