Draft Offshore Law | Renewable Energy Sources Auctions – 2019 & 2020

On 15 January 2020, the Polish government announced a draft Act on the Promotion of Offshore Wind Energy, which sets out a new regulatory environment for the development of offshore projects in the Polish part of the Baltic Sea. The draft Act proposes the construction of offshore wind capacity of over 10 GW with 25-year contracts for differences to be awarded by 2027.

We will also comment on the results of auctions for renewable energy sources that were conducted in Q4 2019 and discuss auctions planned in 2020.
