Solidarity Arbitration and Mediation Days conference 2023

DZP once again is a partner of the Solidarity Arbitration and Mediation Days conference to be held on 6 and 7 December in Warsaw. Conference is entitled „Recovery, Reconstruction and Modernization – Designing the Future: Best Practices in Dispute Avoidance and Resolution” and the aim of the event is to show the support of the international arbitration community for all those affected by the war in Ukraine. As always it will be a not-for-profit event – funds raised will go towards a scholarship fund for Ukrainian students and young lawyers.

Participants will have the opportunity to listen to a series of discussions on new types of disputes and their settlement systems in industries such as construction, infrastructure and energy. There will be discussions on the future of international arbitration, including the Ukrainian perspective. ESG issues and how dispute resolution lawyers can contribute to sustainable development goals will also be addressed.

On the first day of the conference, Pawel Lewandowski, Partner and Co-Head of the Dispute Resolution Practice, will take part in a panel discussion „Current Trends in Dispute Boards: Modern Dispute Prevention”, moderated by Karl Pörnbacher.

Conference is organisers by the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce in Warsaw, the International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, Center for Dispute and Conflict Resolution at the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw and GEMME.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format and will be translated simultaneously into Polish, Ukrainian and English. Detailed information on the event and registration is available on the organiser's website.
