2024 Nuclear Inter Jura Congress

Nuclear Inter Jura 2024 is the 25th annual international congress bringing together representatives of public administrations, specialists, scientists, lawyers and experts dealing with nuclear law. This year's event, with the theme “Nuclear new build renaissance – in search of new approaches to legal challenges and regulatory effectiveness”, will be held in Warsaw on 3-7 November 2024. 

The main aim of the congress, which is organised by the International Nuclear Law Association (INLA) in cooperation with the Dołnoslaskie Institute for Energy Studies (DISE Energy), is to promote knowledge and exchange experience on nuclear energy, environmental protection and nuclear safety regulations.

During the congress, Tomasz Darowski, Partner, and Kamil Pociecha, Senior Associate from the Infrastructure and Energy Practice, will take part in a session “Building the Future: International Nuclear Trade and New Build”. DZP's experts will present issues concerning the contracting of infrastructure projects and discuss legal issues relating to the introduction of nuclear power to the legal systems of Central European countries. They will also participate in a panel discussion on the latest trends and legal challenges in the construction of new nuclear power plants around the world.

Katarzyna Kuźma, from the Infrastructure and Energy Practice, will be a participant in a panel on “Women’s Energy in nuclear energy applications – an opportunity for development and transition”. The global rise in the number of nuclear power projects provides an opportunity for female experts in the energy sector to advance their careers, meet the goals of sustainability, environmental protection and climate neutrality, and support diversity. For the Polish nuclear power industry, it is a new beginning and an opportunity to build a system based on these values from scratch. The integration of women in the energy sector can serve these goals.
