MIT Global Startup Workshop 2025

MIT GSW 2025 is one of the world’s leading conferences dedicated to innovation, designed for individuals and organizations passionate about creating breakthrough solutions and shaping the future of entrepreneurship and technology. This year, for the first time, participants of this prestigious event, organized for nearly 30 years by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will meet in Poland.

On March 24-25, the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw will host discussions featuring leading innovators, investors, and leaders from the worlds of science and business. One of the key topics of this year’s event will be strengthening Poland’s and Europe’s security through technological development. Among the participants will be representatives of DZP – Mateusz Mądry and Marek Paluch from the Life Sciences Practice, as well as Maciej Zajda, leader of the DZP|Future project.

The MIT Global Startup Workshop focuses on harnessing cutting-edge technologies and fostering a culture of innovation to address the world’s most pressing challenges. This year’s event will cover energy transformation, health, and future technologies, which play a crucial role in global change. Additionally, startups will have a unique opportunity to showcase their solutions in the MIT GSW Startup Competition, a contest offering global exposure and support from American investors.

Experts from DZP will contribute to discussions on the development of healthcare technologies. On March 24 at 12:15 PM, Mateusz Mądry will participate in the panel discussion "Border-transcending Health-tech Business Models," where he will discuss the benefits of implementing new technologies in the medtech industry and opportunities for international business expansion.

At 12:30 PM, Marek Paluch will lead a workshop titled "Software as Medical Device in the European Union – Challenges with Qualification and Classification." This session is primarily aimed at medical software manufacturers and tech startups looking to enter the EU market.

The event is co-organized by the StartSmart CEE startup accelerator, with the City of Warsaw as a strategic partner, and is held under the honorary patronage of the Polish Ministry of Development and Technology.
