Katarzyna Kuźma will participate in a panel discussing global public-private partnerships and will present an overview of the PPP market in Poland.

In response to global economic challenges and rapidly evolving regulatory frameworks, lawyers practicing in international markets must not only navigate complex legal landscapes with precision but also provide clients with strategic, business-focused legal counsel. This context frames the theme of the upcoming 33rd Annual Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA) Conference, titled "Transformation Everywhere All at Once: Business and Law in a Changing World." The event is set to take place from April 23–26, 2025, in Chicago and is expected to bring together over 1,000 legal professionals from 65 jurisdictions.

During the conference, Katarzyna Kuźma, Partner in DZP’s Infrastructure and Energy Practice, will participate in the panel “PPP from Across the Globe – with Particular Emphasis on the Contracting Forms used in North America, South America, South East Asia, UK, Europe” She will also deliver a presentation on the state of the PPP market in Poland. Her presentation will cover key topics, including:

  • the reasons for the limited number of large-scale PPP projects in Poland and their impact on the market,
  • the primary barriers facing the public sector,
  • procedural challenges in selecting private partners and the future market outlook,
  • the influence of the UK’s Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and EU regulations on Polish PPP practices.

The panel will also feature legal professionals from the United States, Japan, India, and Poland, offering an international perspective and a platform for cross-border knowledge exchange.

The conference is organized by the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), an international association of business and commercial lawyers with a focus on the Asia-Pacific region or those working with clients from that area. Further details and the registration form are available on the organizer’s website.
