Countdown to the GDPR - after the semminar

Last week Bartosz Marcinkowski, our GDPR expert, was participating in the Countdown to the GDPR: Mitigating the Potential Risk semminar, organised by Chambers and Partners in association with Meritas. Below you will find some photo coverage. 

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force on 25th May 2018, will affect all businesses operating in Europe or targeting European customers. The seminar helped senior in-house lawyers, directors and data protection officers to discuss and prepare for the implementation of the new Regulation.

Through roundtable discussions, the seminar looked at the new data protection obligations posed by the GDPR and the main challenges it presents for businesses, organisations and institutions. Attendees received practical recommendations on how to overcome these challenges and ease the transition to the new data protection regime.

Discussions were facilitated by leading data protection & data privacy lawyers from countries across Europe, helping attendees to consider and manage the risks posed by this new regulation, not only in the UK, but across Europe.
