During the Finals Gala of the Rising Stars Lawyers – Leaders of Tomorrow 2023 competition held on 14 November in Warsaw, the winners were announced of the 12th competition organised by the Wolters Kluwer Polska publishing house. The competition honours young lawyers who stand out for their expert knowledge, their work for the rule of law and society, and their creativity and use of new technologies.
We are delighted to announce that the winners include Dr Paweł Kaźmierczyk, who took 9th place in the competition.
Paweł is a doctor of law and leader of DZP's healthcare team. He specialises in medical law, including patient rights and clinical trials. He also deals with legal issues related to telemedicine and e-health, artificial intelligence and healthcare innovation. He advises healthcare providers, pharmaceutical companies, providers of IT services to the healthcare sector, healthcare startups and public institutions working in this area. Paweł works with the AI in Health Coalition on the Telemedicine Roundtable at the Ministry of Health and with the Supreme Medical Chamber's physician innovation network. He is also a member of the Committee of Health Experts at the Human Rights Ombudsman's office. Paweł is also involved in pro bono work – he was a member of the jury at the 1st Mother and Child Startup Challenge, which brings together state medical entities to harness the potential of medical technology and innovation to protect the life and health of mothers and children.
Our sincere congratulations to Paweł and the other competition winners!
