Startup Guide Warsaw is a valuable source of knowledge for anyone taking their first steps on the startup market in Poland. The idea behind preparing dedicated local guides for the startup market is to empower and inspire people to set up their own firms anywhere in the world. To date, more than 60 editions of the guide have been published for cities and regions in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Latin America and the USA, including Copenhagen, London, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Tokyo and New York.

As securing funding is one of the key challenges for startups, DZP's experts in the venture capital market share their knowledge in this area, suggesting which instruments work best on the Polish market and what to pay particular attention to. Based on a conversation with Maciej Zajda, Partner, and Katarzyna Wójcik, Associate, a text was produced discussing the numerous ways for companies at an early stage of development to raise capital in Poland. Experts also discuss legal issues such as protecting founders' shares, securing intellectual property, and the risk of founders losing control in investment processes. DZP has been supporting startups in these processes for years, offering legal support, mentoring and contact with investors, including through the DZP Future programme.

The guide was prepared in English and is available on the publisher’s website.
